    Bulldog Family,

Millsap ISD is closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and taking precautionary measures against it. School districts are receiving continuous updates from the Texas Department of State Health Services, the Centers for Disease Control Prevention, the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, and local entities. Information is available at https://www.dshs.texas.gov/ .

The risk for all Texans remains low and there are no current cases reported that originated in Texas. Those under quarantine were flown to Texas via the U.S. State Department. If you have been to China within the past 14 days, been exposed to a sick traveler from China, or been exposed to a person with COVID-19, call your doctor. Symptoms are fever, cough, and shortness of breath and may appear 2-14 days after exposure.

As we have done for the past several months, MISD custodial staff is being vigilant in its disinfecting procedures including the mist spraying of all areas. We ask that families and students continue to take preventive measures, as well. These include: avoid close contact with people who are sick, cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and then throw the tissue away, avoid touching your face, clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces, stay home when sick, don’t share food or drink, and wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

As with everything in Bulldog Nation, we are partners in keeping our entire community as healthy as possible! Thank you for your important role in prevention.
