The Millsap Independent School District is a rural school district located fifteen (15) miles west of Weatherford and nine (9) miles east of Mineral Wells. The two major highways connecting Millsap to the rest of the state would be Interstate 20/30 and US highway 180. The Fort Worth/Dallas area may be accessed quite easily within forty-five (45) minutes on interstate freeway.
The Brazos River borders the district on the southwest boundary. There are 124 square miles in the Millsap School District and is the third largest district in Parker County. The Millsap community has a population of approximately 450 residents and the Millsap ISD population will be approximately 1000 students. The Millsap School District is classified for UIL purposes as a AAA school.The land mass is dotted with oak and elm trees and small hills that create a western flair to the environment. The land mass is mostly large tracts for ranching operations with an increasing development of horse training facilities. Parker county is noted as the “Cutting Horse Capital of the World”. One of the highest production plants operated by Acme Brick is located in the district and is known as the Bennett Plant. The plant was established in 1891 adjacent to the Brazos River. Oil and gas production is also a significant revenue generator for the district. Vulcan Materials, a major road materials production center is also located in the school district.District Boundary
